Like every maintenance appointment, our tech performed a combustion and heat analysis and discovered that the blower motor was leaking oil and ignitor was flecking. They spoke to the homeowner about the pros and cons of repairs vs replacement, and the homeowner decided to move forward with setting up a comfort consultation for a furnace replacement. Daikin Furnace Replacement – Coach House Loop in Castle Rock
We were called out on a no heat repair call on a cold March day and got straight to work. Upon diagnosis, our techs discovered the induced draft motor spinning without load, which was caused broken fan assembly pieces inside its housing. They also noted rust on the top of the blower deck, which lead them to inspect the secondary heat exchanger. To their surprise, they discovered the secondary heat exchanger had failed, which brings the potential for the furnace to have carbon monoxide related issues and/or flame roll out issues. Both the induced draft motor and the heat exchanger would need to be fully replaced in order to bring system back into safe operation. These repairs exceed the value of the furnace, so it was recommended to replace the furnace instead of repair, and the replacement was scheduled for the next day. We replaced their furnace with a high efficiency Daikin furnace and custom plenum. This new system is backed by our Golden Guarantees.

Benji was efficient and diagnosed the problem quickly and had the furnace up and running in a short time. He was able to explain my options clearly and made the decision easy.
Furnace stopped operating on a Saturday afternoon, due to service contract with NyTech, had immediate call from Colt, issue determined and parts ordered, parts arrived on Monday and we had the 1st available slot in the schedule, heat back on. Issue was quickly diagnosed in 1-2 minutes, no guess work there (failed inducer assembly - vents exhaust gases from high efficiency furnace). Switched from the company that did original install at built, and have been happy with NyTech ever since!

Colt Williams was the most thorough, knowledgable and informative HVAC technician that I've ever had out to the house. I've owned this home for two decades and have had assorted HVAC contractors out to service our two furnaces over the years. I'm usually left with the feeling that I just dropped a hunk of money for nothing. Not this time. Colt got my malfunctioning furnace working again but didn't stop there. The issue was intermittent and Colt not only attempted to replicate the situation for his own satisfaction, he had me observe his attempts to duplicate the problem, explained the purpose of various tests he had performed, the functionality of the furnace and the possible explanations for the intermittent issue that caused my furnace not to fire. We're considering the replacement of our 20 year-old furnaces. Needless to say, Nytech will be at the top of the list of contractors we'll invite back into our home.

Matthew arrived today, the first day of snow, to service my furnaces. He was professional, courteous, and clean. My units haven’t been serviced in awhile. He performed detailed inspections and let me know the issues he found, which were surprisingly small. The tuneups with Nytech cost more than most, but they are very detailed and you get a report of all the measurements. I also like supporting a local business. I am pleased with Nytech and Matthew. I will definitely call them again next season.
